On Saturday, March 29, 2025, we will be hosting our second annual Paige’s Music Trumpet Day at our Fishers location. This year we will be having two guest artists join us for the day! We are so excited to have Dr. Jason Bergman who is currently an Associate Professor of Music (Trumpet) at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Additionally, we will be having Dr. Michael Mergen who is currently an Associate Professor of Trumpet at University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music and previously was a member of “The President’s Own” United States Marine Brand.

Our very own Kevin Gillins will be giving a special Troubleshooting Trumpet Problems repair presentation again this year! You will not want to miss this interactive and informative presentation! We will wrap up the day with a masterclass with Dr. Bergman and Dr. Mergen, a Q and A session with them, and a joint recital by our guest artists. Because of the support of our sponsors for this event, Bach and Yamaha, you will not walk away empty-handed! We will be doing giveaways during the event. As always, you will have an opportunity to try out trumpets and mouthpieces throughout the day! We will even have private appointments available.

Dr. Jason Bergman:

American trumpeter Jason Bergman was appointed Associate Professor of Music (Trumpet) at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2022. He has performed throughout the United States, South America, Europe, and China. In 2008, Bergman was named Associate Principal Trumpet of the Santiago Philharmonic in Chile and more recently has been Principal Trumpet of the Mobile Symphony Orchestra and Mobile Opera. He has also performed with the Utah Symphony, Dallas Symphony, Dallas Opera, Fort Worth Symphony, and the Dallas Winds, including on their Grammy-nominated album featuring the music of John Williams.

Dr. Michael Mergen:

Michael Mergen is known for his strong and beautiful sound, and is currently the Associate Professor of Trumpet at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. In 2020 he retired as a member of the trumpet/cornet section of “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band after 21 years of service. He also performs with the Blossom Festival Band in Ohio and is a founding member of Valor Brass. An active soloist, Mergen’s solo performances include numerous appearances with the CCM Wind Symphony and “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band.
